The card I have for the DS is an ‘r4 revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS)’
What instrument do i use to measure my Battery to see if it will produce between 12.65 and 12.8 Volts Standing?

I want to buy a digital multimeter.
The charger is going well
I -MAY- Add some more Battery Acid, dumping out a little more “Water,” though the Sulfuric Acid SEEMS to be going into the Water through charging, i have cycled the battery to achieve this…
It passed as “Good” on the tester machine.. Voltage held -constant- at 12.53 Volts AFTER i drove it for 10 minutes, just the battery (a Drain)
The mechanic will knwo how to test to see if its the Voltage Regulator OR the Alternator, right?
Can i get BOTH these parts from a Salvage yard? Approx. What is the rate to replace one, or Both, on my 1985 Jaguar XJ6 4.2L I6?
Im tempted to buy my own Instrument to measure Voltage.. should it go to “At least 13.1″ or “At least 13.5 Volts” when Running, and not MORe than What?

btw.. it just took about “7 Hours” approximately to charge to FULL on “Trickle,” or 2 Amp, Charge.. and i now know how to use Baking Soda to de-corrode my Negative Terminal, as my Positive one that screws in needs Replacement, and i can buy some Dielectric grease and clean the Battery Terminals as well, i cleaned them a little already.. Thanks!!! (Battery is GOOD if it passes all the tests, i may just need to put a little more Sulfuric Acid in there to assist it and verify it PASSES a -LOAD TEST,- Right?)
